OUR STORY

TLC Supported Living Services was born from our own family’s experience.

As parents of a daughter with developmental disabilities, we understand firsthand the hopes, concerns, and difficult decisions families face when helping a loved one become more independent.

Our daughter, Tonya, taught us that supported living should never be a one-size-fits-all program. Each person deserves the opportunity to live in a home of their own, make choices about their life, build meaningful relationships, participate in their community, and receive support designed specifically around their individual needs and goals.

Over the years, our family learned that the right support can make an enormous difference—not only for the person receiving services, but for the entire family.

That personal experience continues to guide TLC today. We strive to provide thoughtful, dependable, family-centered support and to treat each person with the same care and respect we would want for our own daughter.

WHY TLC WAS CREATED

TLC was born from our own family’s experience. As parents of a daughter with developmental disabilities, we understand firsthand the hopes, concerns, and difficult decisions families face when helping a loved one become more independent.

Our journey with our daughter, Tonya, taught us that supported living should never be a one-size-fits-all program. Each person deserves the opportunity to live in a home of their own, make choices about their life, build meaningful relationships, and receive support designed specifically around their individual needs and goals.

Over the years, our family learned that the right support can make an enormous difference—not only for the person receiving services, but for the entire family.

That personal experience continues to guide TLC today. We strive to provide the same kind of thoughtful, dependable, and family-centered support that we would want for our own daughter.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

At TLC Supported Living Services, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful life in a home of their own.

Supported living is about more than providing assistance. It is about helping each person make their own choices, develop greater independence, build meaningful relationships, participate in their community, and pursue the goals and activities that are important to them.

Every person is different, so every person’s support should be different too. At TLC, we build our services around the individual—their needs, abilities, choices, goals, interests, and dreams—while providing the support they need to live safely and successfully in their own home and community.

our approach

INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORT

Every person is different, and their support should be different too. TLC builds services around each individual’s needs, abilities, preferences, goals, and daily routines. We focus on providing the right amount of support while encouraging growth, confidence, and greater independence.

INDEPENDENCE & CHOICE

We believe people should have as much choice and control over their own lives as possible. That means making decisions about where they live, how they spend their time, who they spend time with, and the goals they want to pursue. Our role is to provide the support needed to help those choices become possible.

COMMUNITY & RELATIONSHIPS

A meaningful life includes relationships, friendships, activities, and being part of the community. TLC supports people in building connections, participating in activities they enjoy, spending time with family and friends, and becoming more involved in the places and communities that matter to them.

WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE TLC

Families choose TLC because our services are built around the individual, not around a one-size-fits-all program.

We understand how important it is to have dependable support, people you can trust, and staff who truly get to know the person they are supporting.

Our goal is to help each individual live as independently as possible while staying connected to family, friends, and their community. We work closely with families and support teams to create services that reflect each person’s needs, choices, goals, interests, and abilities.

At TLC, we believe good support should feel personal, respectful, consistent, and family-centered.
